Thrift store build with parts found in local thrift stores. Upgraded the ram from 2gb to 8gb, installed a bfg 8800gt graphics card, upgraded the processor with a phenom ii x4 840, and swapped the dead psu for a 350w. The biggest job with this pc was flashing a custom bios onto the motherboard to get support for phenom ii processors. My first attempt a flashing a bios on a locked motherboard through dos box, since gateway never saw fit to update this bios to accepted am2+ cpu's.
