Modern Warrior of a Budget

After years of Xbox playing, it's finally time to build my first PC!
With help from Youtube, and discovering Bitwit, JayzTwoCents, Linus, and Gamers Nexus, I decided to finally pull the trigger on a build.
I started with the cpu, and went from there. By selecting parts on pcpartpicker, I had an idea of the direction I wanted to go. I didn't have a specific budget, but I knew I wanted to keep it under $1000. With that in mind, I saw the R5 1600 on sale for $149 at the time, and decided that would be my first purchase. I knew I wanted ASUS as my motherboard manufacturer, for their reliability and great uefi bios. So I decided to pick up an asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti on amazon when I saw it on sale for $407, at the time. Putting everything together went surprisingly smooth. I don't know why I doubted myself on my own ability to build a PC. For anyone who's currently contemplating building their own PC; do not let yourself think you cannot accomplish something. Learning something new, applying that knowledge, and accomplishing your goal is self-rewarding and a confidence booster. You truly can do anything you set your mind to. The first step may be the hardest step, but once you make that first attempt, you are off to the races.
