Behind the mod - detail of the extension to the radiator.
Hyte Y70 Touch with The Last of Us theme
This was my latest commission, and first sponsored build. This was a collaboration with fellow builder Techside , who did all the planning and outreach. Hyte provided the Y70 Touch Infinite case, FP12 fans, and their new THICC Q60 AIO (which I promptly disguised as a Q80 😅); Seasonic was kind enough to send us their new Focus ATX 3.0 PSU. I couldn't have done this without all their help.
Fittingly, the build's theme was The Last of Us. The mods are extensive, including painting the case interior, AIO, and the fans, hiding branding on the board, and custom cables. The side glass is a translucent vinyl decal with LED backlighting - the window is from the menu screen of the game, and was a client request.
The most extensive mod was to the AIO. The Q60 is a 240mm AIO; to avoid empty spaces it was modded to look like a 360mm. This involved framing an extension to the bottom of the radiator to support the third fan - I used 1/2" plywood, although 3D printing would be the more common method. I then covered the sides of the rad with acrylic panels to make it look like one unit.
