Hot swap working perfectly, for network backups, and store
cable management is impossible with this case, and jack power supply
If I left the 3 120MM fan assembly it would be difficult to swap out HDDs, and it's really not needed, the air flow nicely.
front panel door open on the RSV-L4000
With the lid on the RSV-L4000, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Black RGB slightly touches the lid, maybe a couple millimeters or so, you see the bulge but it's not enough to interfere with server rack, it doesn't touch other rack equipment.
It's in the rack, setting between a Belkin KVM switch, and a Dell PowerVault 114T Tape Rack. which I actually setting right on top of the tape drive to mount it. I have not installed any rails as none of mine would line up with the RSV-L4000. the door opens, but slightly hits the quick screws on the tape rack.
G-NAS-ERVER
I built this as a gaming server, media server, and NAS. Probably also use it for other server functions as well.
If need be, I can put in a new PSU, and GTX780 SC for gaming.
I can't believe how powerful on board graphics are now, I can play older games like L4D2 on the HD 630 no problem.
The RAM is from my X99 that I upgraded to 32GB/3200MHZ so it's a quad channel kit in dual mode of course. CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) C16 Memory Kit - Red Model CMK16GX4M4A2666C16R
I connect to this PC with Windows Remote Desktop. I started using it recently, and the last time I used it was Windows ME maybe, or XP. It's so fast now on a Gigabit network, very smooth and painless connection, even use my dual monitors as well.
Serves up files very fast getting 116MB/s read and write on HDDs over the network. makes it great for backing any PC over the network.
