This week my motherboard bricked. I ran a series of updates not knowing that a Bios update was among them. The other updates restarted the machine while the bios was being installed. So I had to replace it as the board didn't have a bios flash button. I also move the AIO rad to the top, removed the be quiet fans and added some more Corsair White LED ML120s.

I got some of the goodies from cable mod that I won in March and added to my main build. I added the vertical GPU mount and some black and white pro cables. The vertical mount was pretty easy to install. To be fair I've installed one before. One thing I hit, you have to thread the Display port cable through the expansion slots at the back. When I did a HDMI one that was nice and easy. For the display port one I had trouble getting the cable header through.

As for the cables they are gorgeous. The only thing I'm not happy with is that the AIO tubes block the view of the GPU power cables.

I upgraded the CPU to a 3700x. The 3600 will move to another build which I'm working on. I'm also changing the GPU. I'm staying with a 5700 XT but I've moved to a partner built card, the Giagbyte Aorus OC. I've done this for the cooling and it fits better with the build color scheme. The old GPU will also be moving to another build.

So after a period of nothing but problem I have had to bite the bullet and take my 5700 XT back and exchange it for a 2070 Super. I’m very disappointed as I really liked my 5700. The new EVGA isn’t as nice.
