I took out the motherboard tray and I/o shield area. I added to wooden beams to create the base.
I laid out the try on top to see what it looked like.
I used a motherboard to ensure the holes lined up.
I screwed them in place. The open area under the board is really handy for access and back plates etc.
Here si the final design before paint.

I kept the front IO and power switches
I attached the IO and switched under the wooden beam.
The tray underneath allows for loads of storage (hdd's and tools etc)

DIY PC TEST BENCH
I wanted a second PC and decided an open air test bench would be a cool toy. I didn't want to spend the £80-100 for the nice Lian Li case that seems popular. So I decided to make one. I was inspired by a Linus Tech Tips video called ''Free (or extremely cheap) DIY PC Testbench!''. I turned an old HP desktop into a really useful and versatile case!
