CWB Block

To make a long story short, this was the first time I builded a custom water loop. This project took me about 6 months in a way that it was difficult to find the some parts here in Canada. If you search for the best places to buy water cooling parts here in Canada, I got an excellent service with the DazMode guys. They almost have all of the parts for this build.

The goal of this build was to stay mainly with EKWB parts, I like their products and the build quality is amazing. The radiator does not have too much flux compared to some other radiator brands. I flushed it with distilled water using my pump and a home water filter system. Then I flushed it again with 70 degrees celsius distilled vinegar, this technique got all the flux out and then I did a final flush with distilled water.

For the motherboard, the first I received was defective. Got an RMA and a good one was shipped by the week. I tested everything and started to black out every parts of it starting by removing aluminium pieces on the heat spreaders. After I painted the bios battery cable (I know you perfectionist!) and wrapped the sound card with black vinyl.

I started to overclock it, but I need some time to perfect the clocking and voltage. I do not have so much radiator length, so I need to be careful because I can build heat like hell in this tiny case with only a 240 radiator.

Now talk about the piping... If you think it was easy, not so! Thanks to PETG tubing, for a first time build, it was the best choice and easy to bend. The learning curve was rough, I spend so many hours and throw out so many bends. But I'm pretty happy with the result.

Even if it's old, it's my daily build !

Thanks for the good comments guys and keep up the good work, your builds are amazing!
