Custom, hand-made and powder-coated aluminum panel / case. Silver and Red anodized thumbscrews.

Custom Aluminum Case Fabrication

A Build Log of the case fabrication process. Everything was done by hand, except the GPU bracket and the powder-coating process.

Scale Template - not 100% accurate, ended up re-doing template by hand

Radiators #1 and #2 cut-outs done. Holes were cut using a grinder, hand saw, and drill. Then, edges were filed and sanded smooth.

Test fit of radiator - figured out the scaling issues here. Also, I cut cable holes for the fans.

Mostly finished, all slots, openings, and tapped screw holes are done for dry-fitting. Have yet to finish smaller parts like HDD/SSD mounts, GPU mounts, PSU mounts.

Finished the miscellaneous aluminum parts, and primed the panels.

Painted and clear coated the panels. This didn't work. The clear coat didn't cure and the surface stayed soft. I ended up stripping/cleaning the entire project and sent it out to get powder-coated.

Water Cooling & Final Assembly

Showing the water cooling bending and assembly process. Also shows the custom removable rubberized legs which kept the case upright while I worked on it.

Everything is cable managed. fits within the 2" overall depth of the computer case

First tube bend... ever. Did I mention this was my first time doing a custom loop?

My heat gun setup. Vicat Softening Temperature of acrylic is 150 deg. C. The heat gun 'display temps' were twice as much as the actual air temps, so this ensured I didn't melt the tubing.

My bending jig. Made sure I got the right dimensions, every time... OK well almost every time.

Partially complete. The long run to the CPU used 97 cm of tubing.

GPU loop = complete

Side view - All the outer tube heights are equal, and the inner tube heights are equal.
