ATVPC

The Insector was the most disappointing RC car I've ever owned, so I tore it down and screwed it to a motherboard.

A few adjustments were necessary, but many of the ATX holes in the mobo were suitable to use as mounting points. Most structural additions were pieces of scrap plastic.
The PSU was completely removed from its housing and secured to the board by stuffing flat plastics like bits of ice cream buckets into the PCI slots. A screw or two helped hold it in place. The plastic used to surround the stock AMD heat sink came from a front panel cover. The fan from the PSU doubles as the vehicle's 'radiator'.
My favourite addition was to screw a metal plate into the rear bell housing to mount the HDD. The HDD slides on and off for easy replacement if the monstrous 40GB ends up being too small for newer games like Quake 3 Arena and Mahjong.
Eagle eyed viewers might notice the genuine 40pin IDE strap from ASUS, allowing the HDD to operate at a blistering 7200rpm.
Lighting was achieved by ripping some LED strips from a mystery device at the E-Waste dump, then jamming twist ties into the 12v CPU power cord.
For added safety, the power plug has been secured firmly to the I/O shield, which also houses the custom on button.

The motors are powered by 5v DC from a molex plug which has been hard wired to the old battery terminals. The original battery fro true wireless power was 6v, but 5v suffices to get the car moving. The crossbow steering rack was made from a miniature hobby-engine's fan, and plastic dowel covers from a chair someone left out for hard rubbish. The turntable is another of these covers, but fastened to circular plastic piece from a toy rocket that I broke when I was about seven. I have driven it the length of the desk, and I estimate its top speed to be 0.8 kph.

For those of you wondering; no, there is absolutely no practical use for this build whatsoever. I just saw the parts and had to attempt 'science'.
