My friend was ready to make the jump from PS to PC. I told him if he brought me the parts I would put it together. He was working on an 800 dollar budget. I wished him luck and over the next 6 weeks he showed up with parts for me to look at.

He got a an Asus Maximus Hero 13 for 50 dollars and I got it working after reseting the pins and resoldering the on board start button.
The GPU , MSI GTX 1050 was purchased for 30 dollars and and had horrible thermals. Replaced the thermal paste and pads and good to go.
He was able to pick up 2 TB WD M.2, Case, 32gb RAM and PSU at local auction house for a little over 160 dollars. Apparently he traded a pair of airpods and 120 dollars for a 11900k. The only thing he ordered new was the AIO for 156 dollars + tax. The total cash paid for the parts was a little over 680 usd.
He bought me a six pack of Torpedo IPA for my labor cost and I spent a few hours on Sunday putting it together.
