So, managed to get a unicorn! Welcome to the Sapphire RX 6800 Nitro+, this was a tight fit, about 4mm clearance from the front fans, but perfect! One day strolling over harwdware websites seen this and this only model from all available RX 6000 series available, couldn't believe it... and was true! Was a lucky shot! Performance on this beast is amazing! Not planing to upgrade any other components on this build for the forseable future as is a good beastly machine and can hanlde all titles Ultra settings on my monitor 3440x1440@75Hz FreeSync.
Although is not an RGB build, have some RGB components, but when lights are on is a dimmed white and as the Dark TG from the Meshify C Mini barelly noticeable, I prefer the magic of lights to happen more where it matters... on the screen! ;) not a anti-RGB here just for myself prefer it like this :)
For the looks, my main goal was to achieve a clean tough industrial look but still appealing.
Temps wise, all idles inaudible by my side on the desk around 28c (ambient 22c) and maximum low 70's all maxed out.
P.S. runs Cyberpunk 2077 not dropping a frame from my monitor max refresh rate (75Hz) all High manually set settings as High preset leaves most on Medium.
Color(s): Beige Black Brown Carbon
RGB Lighting? Yes
Cooling: Air Cooling
Type: General Build
CPU Upgrade - Curiosities/Info about AMD 5000 series on B450 Chipset
Just upgraded my CPU from 3700X to 5600X, many may not call it an upgrade, however, as gaming is the main purpose of this build and the 3700X only beating by a small margin the 5600X in 3D or Video render tasks, this was a totally worth upgrade.
I believe I've also won the silicon lottery here, all cores boost to 4.650 GHz (4.6 GHz max boost listed for this CPU) and runs 62C the hottest with 21c ambient.
This CPU is also working on a ASRock B450M Pro4, after upgrading the BIOS to 4.60 (AGESA 220.127.116.11) for my surprise SAM (Smart Access Memory) is available on this board and as have the RX6800 this gives quite a noticeable boost (about 5 to 15fps boost depending on the game) even on PCIe Gen3.
Was thinking down the line to get the B550 version of this board, but after the findings and how this CPU and system behaves, not worth as there are no real advantages for gaming in using PCIe Gen4 for me.
At the moment waiting on some CableMod Pro Comb Kit to arrive, will make it a bit more good looking with the GPU cables and also added an UpHere GPU Bracket as the little sag was itching my OCD
Will post some more pictures once the combs arrive.
Have been "Cablemodd'ed PRO" Edition :) looks a looooootttttttttttttttt nicer!
Just upgraded my combs to a CableMod Pro Combs Kit, look amazing!
