This was another project for the guy for whom i builf Project Tango. This time I thought i would take things a bit differently, and instead of painting forest camo, I went desert camoflage!
As you can see, it's no slouch, and I went to the nth degree with cable management, thanks in large part to keeping the top panel off until i was finished!
I wanted it to be very true to the military aesthetic; nothing perfect. It's aged, distressed, and dirty, complete with real coffee stains. I used some tricks Adam Savage(yes that adam savage) taught me to make it look dirty, which included using a paint brush and some wet cinnamon- no shit- to make it look filthy, but not so much that it looked like it was on purpose.
as is my method, there are no cable ties for the power cables- none. zero cable combs. gone.
all the stencils- as with any real military vehicle- are handmade and imperfect, because- and i speak from experience-- they never are. Also, i used hot glue on certain panels, and then painted over them to make it look like the panels had been welded!
