Why Call it's Wintermute? I feel this perfectly represents this build. In the game The Long Dark, Wintermute is the first episode, and in that game, the scenery is cold and dark; much like this build, and the word mute in Wintermute describes the noise I hear from the PC, silence.
Purpose of Build I built this PC primarily for gaming (of course) and software development. Both objectives have been extremely successful!
Anecdote When I originally built this back in 2016, I used an Antec case from an old build that I had to save a few pennies. Nice case, except it, wasn't made to house a full-sized graphics card. I thought no problem, I'll just get rid of these million HDD cages. One problem, they were riveted. After an hour or so, I finally could fit my graphics card in.
