Tops'l. This is a home office build using the Phanteks Evolv Shift with tempered glass side panels. It's a mostly monochrome build featuring a lot of Corsair black.
The Corsair H55 pump block looks great in an understated way. No flashing RGB here. This means it pairs really well with the ASRock Z390 ITX/AC motherboard that doesn't have a single RGB header. No plastic IO cover, all business.
Intel 9600k, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32gb, Corsair SF600, 1TB Samsung 970 evo NVMe M.2. You can see the 120mm Chromax intake fan on the right.
The black painted Noctua NF-A12x25 with the nice brown 120mm radiator seal. You can see I ended up having to switch to push to get thermals under control. Behind the fan there is a box foam panel to block off the side vent in the lower half to control airflow direction.
This case is thermally very challenging. In this build I originally had a GTX780 with its 250w power draw. I also had the bottom fan set as intake and the top fan set as exhaust. That seemed to overload the system pretty quickly as the heat built up in the chassis. I swapped out the GPU to a GTX960 with a large heatsink and reversed the airflow on the case fans. The biggest change is eliminating the requirement for a filter on the bottom and having air blown onto the gpu and back of the motherboard. Since the GTX 960 only draws 100w it's now working well.
I really like the look of the Phanteks Shift cases, but they always take a little extra work to get right. I think the best configuration for these is a tempered glass front panel and mesh on the back.
