This is a old build that has migrated to ToeJam and Earl. This build was originally posted in 2019.

Iv decided to keep my NAS as its one system so im going to make a build sheet for it.
Toejam is just a bare bones system to to host a Windows drive share. I gave it the name Toejam to go along with my other LGA775 computer that is named Earl.
Right now he has some place holder drives (80gig WD and 320 Beracuda) i plan on getting a network card (on board is only 100mb) and a sata3 card for some 6tb drives.
He lives in a old dell inspiron 537 case but the motherboard is out of a different dell inspiron (iirc a 530) because it had more ram slots that allowed me to take it from 4gb to 8gb.
My favorite part about Toejam is that he sits in my living room next to my couch and he is so low power and quiet that I can hear the fan in my room down the hall over him.
