ToeJam and Earl

This is the build that now consists of my 2nd pc (Earl) and my NAS (ToeJam).
Since I last updated the the two builds that have had a fair number of upgrades along with being put into the same case (see old build pages for before specs).

Earl is my backup gaming computer/theater pc/server/music player. It mostly sits in my room running a Minecraft server and uTorrent and playing music at night but sometimes ill watch a movie or two on it and play a game or two. Its mostly made from random parts that I have gotten good deals on from craigslist and Facebook marketplace. Like the r9 295x2 I got for $30 and it wasn't even dirty. The whole computer has cost me $84.80 to build.

Toejam is my NAS that also runs my plex server and the other random stuff I feel like trying out in Truenas. It started as me just messing around with a old OptiPlex I had sitting around but after it was up for a while i found having a NAS was useful enough for me to want to build one. One of the main points i have when building was power efficiency because it will be running 24/7 for the foreseeable future. That's why I went with a low power cpu but it is still powerful enough to do a 4k plex stream or run a lightly modded Minecraft server all while staying under 80 watts under full load.

Both the computer are still WIP. I had to cut out a hole in the side of the drive bays to put a fan for ToeJam but im never going to need a disk drive in the computer so not a big deal for me. Also the board that I bough for ToeJam is missing a cpu pin (its a ground iirc) but it was quite cheep and i could make a good guess as to what pin was missing based on the sellers photos. I had to put a Molex plug on Earls cpu cooler because the sata that was on it was cut off when I got it. It also may or may have not let out some magic blue smoke when I tried to plug in the fan adapter so Im 99% sure the control board is fried but it still pumps so untill it stops doing that its good enough for me. Also there is a gigabit switch inside the case so I only have to run one ethernet cable to the computers.

Future plans for the two:
New AIO for Earl.
New drives and a ssd for ToeJam. I'm thinking 120GB ssd and 3-5 3-6TB Hdds in raid 5.
Also ideally id get a Phanteks power splitter so both computers can use the same PSU (if you know where I can get one let me know because I cant find any).
If I find one for cheep a ITX server board for ToeJam so I can switch over to 16GB of ECC ram.
