The Orca & Rucksack build
...I have been building servers, work stations and even test-benches for close to twenty years...but I wanted to do something completely different, outside the box, and nothing I had seen before...at the same time, it had to be high performance 'oc' and handle an extensive cooling setup.
I started with a Thermaltake Core P5 case and a MSI MEG Creation X399, added two Aorus 2080 Ti Xtreme WB water-cooled cards, 32 GB of TridentZ and WD Blue M.2s. The 2950X got a Watercool Heatkiller IV TR Nickel plated block. The black, white and silver theme was quickly locked in (at least before RGB kicks in...). The build has two separate cooling circuits: CPU has two XSPC RX 360 rads with two MPC655 pumps. GPUs have three XSPC RX 360 rads, also with two MPC655 pumps. Add in something like twenty 120mm fans, and it runs, well, cool even when overclocked 24/7...
The build required a lot of mods on the Core P5 'case', noting that the GPU cooling tubes (horizontal, white in the pics) are copper tubing, complete with copper elbows.
