My first build. Gaming PC that I use for home general use/work as well.
SUCH a solid performer. Really researched for balance and to get the most out of each component, from mobo to CPU and CPU to ram and GPU is just a beast. Great price/performance (bought last November before gouging so yay).
I paid attention to the aesthetics, too with what I think is a really nice compact build that's larger than life ... wanted it to feel like it is alive and organically fitted. And wanted the mobo to have no viewing obstructions. The mobo RGB was a little flat, so I cut a square tube of acrylic and now it bounces around and has a more defined presence.
Hope you enjoy and here are a few numbers:
RAM Total overkill, never uses more than 50% (although I hear the headroom is good for RAM?)
CPU OC with BIOS-auto 5 GHz setting (I know, but it works) and XMP on for the 3000 MHz DDR4. Gets 768 Cinebench CPU
GPU OCs to about 1940 MHz usually, sometimes gets to 1999 :O Gets 4148 Superposition at 1080p extreme Gets 1823 Heaven at DX11, Ultra, 1440p and 8x (72.4 FPS, max 150) Gets 150.34 fps Cinebench OpenGL
Temps CPU idles around 40 and does jump above 80 under load sometimes, but fans set to blast and usually cruises around 72 GPU idles around 54 and under load never gets above 75
Case Does restrict a bit, so gets pretty loud to compensate under load
I had a 240 NZXT CPU AIO, but I did NOT like another RGB/monitoring software (CAM) running on my machine. So, pulled that and went for a Cooler Master set up that all runs on Aura Sync (which actually works OK now, but anything beyond static color selection drains 10% CPU AND inevitably crashes which them bumps up to 30% CPU drain, so I only run rainbow when I have people over ;D)
Next step could be monoblock, res, GPU waterblock, hardline cooling! cant wait ... also want to cut front panel and top panel with hex pattern to increase airflow
