Spare AM5 Build 2
AD:
I built this system when everything was much cheaper than today's pricing. Just a nice basic ITX system in a "small mid tower" case. I had this system in a different case but temps were absolutely horrible.
After debating between various case I settled on the Montech Ten.
The power supply was a bit of an odd one as it's from some kind of HP Omen PC. It's 80Plus Platinum & has very short cables. If this PSU was in any other case I would require cable extensions but in this build they are the perfect length.
I want very subtle lighting for this build. The Thermalright fans I put in are just the right amount of light I was going for. I also added an ITX ARGB "backplate" thing as I wanted to see if it would go with this build & I feel it's just right. One of the best accidents was with the ARGB splitter/fan hub as it's actually an ARGB controller with a remote that can allow for motherboard passthrough. I just set everything to Solid White as I feel that's the best color constant with the black.
Currently has an RTX 3060 12GB in it. It may get an Intel Arc A750 8GB as for some reason that GPU benchmarks higher than the 3060 in that specific system (looked back at old benchmarks). Considering it's just a spare build that could be setup to run emulators/retro games or run older games that don't require modern high end GPU to run smoothly I think either will be fine.
