I originally want to pick 8700k CPU, but as I am afraid of heating issue. so I swap the z270i MB and 7700k
CPU from my another system.
The issue i met is:
1, The ASUS GPU is HUGE, it is only 5mm edge to edge after i squeezed it in. the only way to put it in is to install GPU before MB.
2, The case is so small that you might need custom cables. Thanks @Matt.
3, There is not much options for CPU cooler, Noctua NH L9i is for under 65w CPU so I decide to go with CRYORIG.
4, the noise is acceptable. the temp is around 38C(cpu). and 45C(cpu) while gaming.
For GPU temp i would like to not close the side panel , there is a 5 degrees difference. 38C~50C
The PC on the second page is my another custom mini itx build
Both builds are similar except the case size, cooling option and building focus. that one is for RRRGGGBBB, but this one is for MINIMAL SIZE.
