For my gaming Team I am hosting a few Servers from home. For this I decided to arrange it all into a save area called DMZ. As this was not possible with the Router i got from my provider I just build my own and installed PFSense on it. Due to the lack of space in this room I went into my workshop upstairs and cut pieces of wood. The result can now be seen on the wall - everything is clean and neat packed together.
The Serverbouard consists of:
The Router by O2 - Homebox 6641
The PFSense Router, which is a APU2C4 with 64GB mSata SSD
An AccessPoint by Netgear R6400 AC1750 for optimal WLAN with 5GHz
The Telephone Gigaset by Siemens
A Phillips Hue Bridge hanging inside of the artificial Tree
and finally: The Server, which is placed inside of a DMZ It's an Intel NUC with a i3 4010U @ 1,7GHz 12GB of RAM a 120GB SSD by Samsung.
On this device a TeamSpeak Server, an Ark Server, A Minecraft Server and many TrackMania Server are hosted. Future Upgrades will demand a greater RAM.
If you have any questions about the build or the configuration don't hesitate to ask.
