I've recently started to delve in to publishing videos on some of my electronics projects on YouTube. The videos I've edited up until now, I've done with iMovie using an iPad Pro. I really want to start editing with some more sophisticated software and on a full featured PC. Sadly, my previous machine was not up to the task. So, I've been specing out and collecting parts to build this new rig since Thanksgiving 2018. I'm proud to say that it's finally finished; and, as is only fitting for me, I've themed this build in honor of my favorite sports team; the Minnesota Vikings.
The processor and GPU in this rig are intended to get me by for the time being. With Ryzen 3000 predicted to have 16-core/32-thread, I purchased the x470 Taichi board in hopes that the VRM will be robust enough to drive a processor like that.
A quick note that, while I've been repairing and building computers for 20 years, this is my first water cooled build and it was great fun learning to bend hard tube.
