2016 and I just wanted to both build in the Phanteks Evolv and get my hands on that FE cooler when the 10 series dropped. I remember being annoyed at the launch price of the 1080 having had the 980 on launch and the OG Titan before that.. So I hung on for the 1070 and took a trip to OCUK on launch day to pick it up. This was a fun building taking the inlay panels from my Pavum veer project and using the '10 series, gaming perfected' tag to showcase the FE design cooler.

The loop was fun too. I treated myself to the full nickel supremacy EVO block from EK and did this weird layout where you sort of had to prime the pump when filling the loop as the res was on the other side of the CPU block at about the same height. It worked a treat and I ran this as my main rig for a couple years (i think).
