Decided to water cool my rig. Went straight into the deep end, small case and acrylic. Tried to use a hair dryer, doesnt work, then boiling water, doesnt work. Looked up acrylic melting temp then drove to home depot to get a $23 heat gun. Worked great. Bends and angles are not perfect. Wanted the pump up front but there was no space, the zotac rtx 2080 ti amp is quite long. Water cooling a locked 8700, are you dumb? Maybe. Was planning to water cool the gpu but went vertical mount.
Vertical mount bracket is from phanteks. Its ment for cases with open pcie slots so I had to cut 2 off. It was such a pain in the ass installing. After alot of cussing and force I managed to semi get a screw to start. Want to paint it white but putting it back in might scratch it to hell and back. Like I said I was planning to watercool the card but its actually staying quite cool this way now. I like to run my games at max setting 4k but dont necessarily need 200 frappuccinos per second. So I lock them at TV refresh rate which is 60. So I'm good for the time being.
Originally wanted the rad up top but that little thing in the front where the front i/o is wouldnt allow it. Managed to squeeze it up front. It was a tight fit.
Painted the reservoir lid, fittings, radiator and CPU water block tie down spots; white.
