Hewitt Rand 286 Ryzen 2700x

This is my first build that I wanted to create something truly one-of-a-kind. I started with selecting the right chassis and after a few years of searching I found the one that I knew would be a good platform to start. The Case is an old Hewitt Rand 286 that was in a nonfunctional state when it arrived. I went to work with removing the old hardware as well as removing various rivets holding the rear of the case on due to it being a non standard for modern PC hardware. (see before pics below). I ended up using parts from various cases. I used mainly the rear and motherboard tray of another similar sized modern case to complete the full case. I had originally intended for the build to be a "sleeper" but decided I wanted something with modern aesthetic while retaining the retro look so a window was cut to expose the inner workings as well as the RGB.

P.S. I did all of this in my freetime (over the course of a year) with nothing but a handful of tools, my cordless drill, and my dremel. I hope you enjoy!
