The main hardware is a couple of generations old, but still running great. The case, cooler, and fans are all new to this build.
MasterFan Halos are great fans at a reasonable price. They're quiet, move a lot of air, and have nice RGB lighting.
The GPU support bracket is from uphere - I sanded off the logo and painted it white to match the rest of the case.
Cables are handmade with Teleios sleeving. I spent more than a couple of hours on cable management. Hardly anyone will see it, but I know it's there.
White on white looks so clean. I swapped the CPU cooler's fan for a Corsair AF120.
Making the cables is my favorite part of the build.
Fractal Design North - giving new life to some older hardware
Moved some older parts into a new case with an all-white theme. Recently did this build for a client's wife. She uses it for gaming and WFH, nothing too heavy. Gave me a chance to build in the North, one of the nicest looking cases to come out this year.
The North was really easy to build in with plenty of room for hardware and cable management. I replaced the cooler's fan with a Corsair AF120 - partially because the stock fan was a little loud, mostly because I'm a fan snob.
The Asus board doesn't have an aRGB header, so I added a Corsair Node Pro controller. One channel controls the RGB fans, the other drives the added case lighting which is housed in an aluminum channel along the bottom of the case. This kept all the RGB control in the iCUE ecosystem.
The GPU support bracket was painted to match the white aesthetic. I made a full set of custom cables to round things out.
