The LED strip at the front blew out as I hit the power button to power on for this photo.
First SFFPC: Virtual School PC
Yes, it is 2020 and nothing seems normal. My son has started 2nd grade and it's even more Zoom classes now. So far he's been using a laptop tethered to a monitor but there's too many other software on that laptop that I don't want it to be a distraction to him.
For this build, I managed to pre-order the Cooler Master NR200 SFF case and Amazon delivered it on 8/18. The only other parts I bought for this build are the motherboard and the PSU. Everything else are parts from my other build and pre-built.
It's pretty much a very simple build with an emphasis on my foray into making custom cables for this form factor. There's a learning curve as the short routes mean any mistake shows easily. I used MDPC-X Area 51 and Blackest Black Classic Small sleeve for the cables.
Some main specs (couldn't list some of the parts correctly in the drop down menu):
CPU - Intel i5-9400
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z390i Aorus Pro WiFi
Graphics Card - MSI RX580 Armor OC 8GB
Case - Cooler Master NR200
