I wanted to go a little old-school and build a super clean, air-cooled computer. I wanted the fans to match the cooler so no RGB fans, but I added RGB strip lights around the front and top edge, under the graphics card horizontally, and vertically near the PCI slot covers. Turned out better than I expected!
Black Fan Grills need to make a comeback in my opinion.

Mod to change my 2080 Super Founder Edition RGB from Green to Blue
I did an electrical mod to change my RGB from green to blue on my Nvidia 2080 Super Founders Edition.
Cut Green wire going to LED board and splice it onto the Blue wire. Green has power. This gave me purple (some voltage is carried on the Red wire for the shade of Green we see). Cut the Red wire in half and leave it and you now have Blue on the display. I used liquid tape to insulate the cut wires. Using EVGA Precision X1 does allow you to dim the colors to your desired brightness. Wires are short so you will need to disassemble the card completely.
This card teardown video works for the 2080 Super FE.. Use a heatgun to soften the glue and remove that thin metal mirror logo cover on top with a knife blade and small screwdrivers.. I was able to do it without detroying anything or bending the mirror logo cover.
Timespy Test Results
My Timespy test results after tweaking.. Really good scores!
