Sensor panel functioning and in temporary location. Awaiting parts to mount it and frame the screen

Sensor panel in final place just need to build my own sensor panel set up then I’ll be happy

The box is what I would say adequate in packaging and in the design reference the product without being too over the top

The Intel bracket includes yellow sliding feet which allow easy adjustment for the appropriate socket alinement

Inside the Big Bang you get: Intel back plate Intel bracket Amd bracket 4 fan retention clips 4 bracket screws very clearly marked up

Clearance off the side of the fins for bracket screws isn’t great

The screws to line up with the indentation of the the fin profiles which would have helped with screw clearance

If you use a larger ratchet screw driver you won’t be able to sit straight on the screw unless you use extension pieces

Similar to the large screw driver a small precision ratchet won’t get you close enough to sit true on the screw

Note to self next time check the instructions. Brackets go under contact plate over hang and screwed from below( see left bracket as correct in pic)

Doesn’t look too out of place and allows for access to my second ram Channel unlike the Bark Rock 4. Down side my MB only has 4 pin rgb headers no 3 pin.

This build started off as garage rescue of an am2+ office machine. It has now totally changed will no remaining original components so I decided that this build profile will take place of that one. After all I’m not trigger from fools and horses.

Currently saving for new or second hand gpu
Im planning on getting 980ti/ 1080ti or if my budget allows after normality returns a 2070super

The V5 is staying

Vetroo V5 vs Dark Rock 4

So my aim is to compare the performance of V5 budget tower cooler against that of a 5 year old Dark Rock 4.

I have done a unboxing as well just to show what is included in the V5 cooler. Hoping to bring you some interesting comparisons

As part of the comparison I will:
-Apply same type and amount of Paste for both towers

- currently running 3 fans of cpu header so will disconnect other fans to eliminate variables of other fans. (3 case fans will remain connected from another pwm header)

- side panel will remain off ( this is to help eliminate case thermal limitations.)

- test each cooler with each fan
~ V5 supplied
~ silent wings (included with bequiet can’t confirm model version).
~ silent wings 3 fan (one of my case fans)

Plan to run cinebench
- 10 mins per fan per tower (using cinebench default 10 min all thread test)
- will be monitoring using Ryzen master utility and logging temp reading every 2 mins through test

Update due to the different fan sizes I decided only to run test with the native fans for the coolers.
