In true overkill fashion I’ve put together this unnecessarily necessary beast of a system. Would love a 4090, 5090, or 7900 xtx but we all know GPUs are overpriced at the moment so here we are. This is also a departure from my previous builds that used a decent amount of RGB. Even though I feel like those didn’t use a ton of it, I’ve decided to add color in different ways. I might get some lighting just to illuminate the inside of the case, but that’s it. This is also a bit of a departure as it isn’t water cooled like my last ones. I might do a customer loop for the CPU soon, basically replacing the AIO with a single radiator loop to ramp the fans down a bit for a quieter build.
This will be used for gaming, streaming, video editing, and productivity…sometimes at the same time.

Case: Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Case — Black
Motherboard: Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI
I managed to shoehorn a CEB motherboard into a case that doesn’t even have an E-ATX rating apparently. I can kinda see why as the cable pass-throughs on the top are almost fully covered, but the bottom ones aren’t due to the motherboard’s design. It works…it will work more once I get customer psu cables that should be more flexible than the ones that game with the Thermaltake PSU. I would say, whether you can fit this or an E-ATX motherboard in a 5000D will just depend on their design and your cable routing. If the side radiator is not being used then it should definitely fit.
CPU: AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 7960X
Slight overclock to 5.6Ghz using PBO. I’m not looking to chase the sun here, just a little bump for single core workloads.
Graphics: Asus ProArt RTX 4070 Ti 12GB
Slight overclock +150mhz on core and memory.
