Check out my RGB tutorial using the white version of this case here:
https://builds.gg/builds/sama-maxcool-w-free-rgb-tutorial-2-12643So, I've done new computers, I've fixed old computers, I've upgraded them and blah blah blah. I did a bunch of crypto mining with several rigs on the cheap. Like using an old Dell Vostro that was just given to me and some passive cooled GT 1030's to make a super cheap (this was before the GPU FRENZY) 4 card, Solar powered rig. At that time, the GT 1030 and it's mining prospects were a "SHH, DON'T TELL NOBODY" kind of thing. Ahh the good "old?" days.. Also had a bunch of 1060 rigs before 1060's were cool, and I wasn't greedy. My early opt in method paid off before the frenzy wars of the crypto guys .vs gamers began.
I am actually neither. I just like building stuff. My messy desk is my workshop.
But anyways, so I had this stockpile of parts like DDR3 memory, CPU's, GPU's. Most of it I sold off on ebay for a $1 starting bid, no reserve. This build, is actually one of the builds I offer when I get someone with a low budget who needs a computer.
The CPU, RAM, CPU Cooler, GPU, DVD Burner, Power Supply, .. everything except the case, was made from recycled mining rig parts for free because I wanted rid of them anyways and felt like building something.
No fancy RGB in this one. Just a plain red LED. I did opt to add 2 additional SAMA 120mm fans up on top. The fan hub is wired up so that the fan speed (and lumen) can be adjusted high, low or off on all fans except the fan pushing air into the AIO which is controlled via PWM. on the motherboard.
I did however, have a spare cheaper 5050 rgb strip with remote control laying around, so I tossed it in for free as well.
The parts list is incorrect (they need to add it to the list). This is actually a passive cooled ASUS GT 1030. A super quiet machine!!
