With 6C/12T for $80, the Ryzen 5 1600 is probably the best value CPU on the market right now. Until that changes, I'm going to keep building PC's with it.
This is my first white build and I think it might be my best looking one so far - white just looks so clean. The darkflash case seems to be pretty new, taking inspiration of the low-poly front panel design from the Fractal Meshify. The solid front panel made me initially question if I could get enough cooling onto the RX 580, but even the cheap, low power fans I put in the front seemed to do just fine providing fresh air to the gpu. During stress testing, I never felt the need to add fans to the top vent ( dual 120mm or 140mm available).
This was also my first attempt at adding custom sleeving to PSU cables. I followed this
guide and the cables turned out amazing. The daisy-chained pcie 6+2 pin connectors were a bit more difficult, but the superglue trick in the video worked fine. I bough 100ft of 550 white paracord and ended up with some left over.
The RX 580 responded really well to undervolting by 100mv, reducing power by about 60W and still stable.
The RAM was SK Hynix AFR - my first sticks with these chips. It could be the motherboard, but I'm not impressed with the RAM. For the price though, the sticks look great with the RGB. Each DIMM has 5 individually addressable LEDs and have no issue working with Asus Aura Sync.
Overall, I'm super happy with this PC's aesthetics and will be building another PC in a darkFlash DLM 22 soon. Adding custom cable sleeves was pretty fun and makes it look much better. I may do this for all future builds with transparent side panel.
