This was a build chosen by Intel for their "Ultimate LAN PC Build Challenge" they put on. Most of the PC components were sent to me by them. The screen, filament, etc etc were all purchased by me to speed up time and get the build done on time for PDXLAN Spring 2023.
I wanted to showcase the Arc because it's a new piece of tech that is super impressive for a newcomer to the scene. With 3D printing also being a relatively new technology, I wanted to throw the two together, and possibly pose the question of "What if..." one day we could manufacture our own PC components, at home? The concept was to essentially put a motherboard tray under the build plate, and then have a riser going up to the card, to make it look like the printer was ACTIVELY printing the GPU. Maybe leave a comment and let me know if you think I pulled that off?
I entered it into the mod contest here at the LAN, and it sadly did not place in the top 5, but I look forward to continuing on with my modding and pushing the boundaries of my skills and what is possible.
