This is my first custom watercooled pc which has been a slow and steady upgrade from an already overkill Office PC morphing into a seriously Overkill Office PC (Mk2). It started life with a 7700k, 16GB of RAM and a 1050ti. Over the last couple of years I've upgraded everything except the motherboard and processor but the desire to do a custom water loop and keep the Meshify C case meant I had to get a new motherboard with lower positioned RAM slots. So I took the plunge, bought the Maximus X Code, unwrapped the Intel I7-8086k and got to work.

As mentioned, the low RAM slots of the Maximus X Code allowed for fitting a radiator and fans up top without needing low profile RAM, so the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro were selected for added RGBness. Then in the front, I took a gamble and ordered the EKWB PE360 for the front. It's a tight fit, but the radiator and fans just squeeze in there.

For a first go at a custom loop the choice of case was, honestly, pretty stupid. Not the easiest of builds but the end result is worth it IMO.

I do have one more change to make, and that's make custom cables for it but that can wait for another day. Right now, I'm just enjoying it!
