Salvage
I originally had the idea to make a scratch build. Sadly it all went down the drain because of parts I ordered that never got produced... So I had a chat with be quiet! and they were kind enough to send me a Dark Base 700 and a Dark Rock Pro 4 so I could start the salvage operation.
That's why I went with the name "Salvage"... not that the parts in any way are older used parts, but because the project itself is a salvage operation. I had some parts cut out in CNC to fit the case and do some modifications without doing to much to the case and it not being recognised as the original thing.
I had a top part cut out to open up for some improved air flow, a part made to fit the project name on the side of the PSU shroud and parts made for the inside of the case. I also made acrylic pieces to highlight the SSD and a backplate for the GPU.
EDIT: I made some changes to this project for Dreamhack Winter 2019 and have uploaded pictures of that. Added some lighting behind the panels inside the case to have some more focus on my mods.
