I got a very good deal on this NZXT H1 case and my wife wants to dig deeper into PC gaming since the launch of New World.
So I took a look into my shelf and built this Mini-ITX system from parts i had lying around.
I never used that Board/CPU combo before. I just bought it and almost forgot about it. I delided the CPU since it has aged quite well. Thermal paste was completely dry, so i exchanged it with liquid metal.
I was able to achieve 5 GHz right out of the box with 1.315 V. Sitting at around 50° under load in this tiny case is quite impressive. With further optimizations i should get it a bit quiter though.
Was really fun to build in this chassis. Only had to adjust the braket/backplate for the AIO which sits behind the board. It interfered with the M.2 Hard drive and i had to cut off unnecessary parts of it. Don't know why they added these "noses" but they are not used at all.
Other than that the build was completed in just over an hour + an extra half an hour for cable management after I test run it. Hope the CPU can keep up with online gaming and 4 cores. Singe thread performance is quite good and the 2080ti shouldn't sit just useless in the case.
