Hi fellow gamers! I needed a PC for some living room gaming. I've been planning this build for a long time. It took me almost a year to plan, build, film and edit the timelapse video (I don't have a lot of free time).
You can watch the build timelapse from unboxing to gaming here :

As usual, I went absolutely overkill! I bought the best parts for 4K gaming available at the time. I was afraid that a slim 240mm radiator would not be enough to cool the monstruous RTX 4090 even without overclocking. That's why I decided to put only the GPU in the loop. The CPU is running in 65w ECO mode so the slim ID-COOLING IS-55 cooler is plenty enough. The bottleneck in 4K gaming is the GPU so you don't need the fastest and greatest CPU. That's why I went for the 7700x (the X3D was not available at the time).
The main issue for this build was to find a good pump-radiator combo that would fit in the Lian Li A4-H20. I found a chinese one (I don't like chinese parts but I had no other option) but it was initially leaking as you can see in the video. After troubleshooting for hours, it turns out the O-ring inside the pump was displaced...
Another issue was to find a screen that would fit inside the case. It turns out the waveshare 5.5 inches AMOLED 1080p screen fits perfectly in the pre-built vent hole of the A4-H20! That was a lucky shot haha.
In the end, I was right about the 240mm rad being not enough... even with maximum pump and fans speed, the GPU under load sits at 65c which is not better than a beefy stock air cooler. A bit disappointing... At least, the custom loop allowed me to fit the RTX 4090 in the A4-H20 case and 65c is good enough.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this build! My friends can't believe that I fitted a 4090 in this haha. This SFF will allow for some crème-de-la-crème 4K gaming on a glorious OLED TV.
Cheers!
