Introducing Garage Sale. This PC was a quick (middle) budget gaming build for a friend’s brother-in-law who was about to purchase a prebuilt PC. Some of these parts are new, but a lot of this build was scavenged from stuff I had sitting in my garage that I was looking to move on.
I purchased the @MSI MAG B550M Mortar WiFi AM4 mATX, which is a great looking motherboard that continues on from the excellent B450 range by MSI. The 32gb of @hyperX DDR4 3000Mhz RAM is double the capacity of the 16gb of 2666MHz Corsair LPX DDR4 and should be more than enough for quite some time. I’m generally totally against rainbow RGB, but somehow it seems to work with the cables here. I used 4 extra stock fans that I had left over from building in Phanteks cases. I had 2 black and 2 white fans so I opted for this layout. I think it worked out well. You can see the piece of electric tape I’ve placed over the RGB contact point so the front RGB lighting can stay off. It looks much better this way. All this gets hidden away behind the filter and front panel.
