A temp update - with the temperature sensor on the radiator return, I see a max liquid temperature of ~42C with my chosen fan profile, with the rad fan PWM scaling with liquid temperature, under full load for 2h+. Max CPU die temp is around ~75C, max mean CPU temp , which I'm not thrilled about but isn't entirely surprising with the AMD 7 5800X, and given that the CPU is after the GPU in the loop (a design constraint). Max GPU temp ends up being <65C, which I'm happy enough about - the EKWB block is doing wonderfully. Runs Cyberpunk 2077 at > 80 FPS most of the time (on ultra ultra, of course). It puts out a lot of heat, and seems well distributed across the rad by spot check with an IR sensor.

NVIDIA's RTX FE cards use a 12-pin micro-fit molex connector for power (see full BOM for DigiKey numbers for all connectors). It's small. I'd already decided I was using 16GA wire throughout for all PSU power.
You actually can crimp the micro-fit pins on 16GA wire, but it's not always pretty. Like all dupont crimps, it's satisfying when it looks good and the rest of the time it's infuriating.

I had decided that I didn't want the pump/res combo, mostly because I liked the look of them separate and maybe felt like things in my life were a little too easy. That meant that there was this series of impossible bends that absolutely can't be great for flow. My pandemic hobby was, of course, getting that one bend right.

I had considered using 90s (as I did on the CPU block) but when installed they actually took more vertical space than that little S-bend. Are they all pretty? No, I'll definitely be re-bending on my first coolant replacement.

Ideally I would have liked a cleaner wiring appearance overall, but the 24-pin ATX connector means there are a few wires spliced at one end or the other. Because I wanted to keep everything coming out of the mobo together - in the words of Liz Lemon - it all has to go somewhere, Jack. That meant the mess was all going to be on the PSU end, including those nasty splices. I quickly found out that getting two 16GA wires in the mini-fit crimp is something manufacturers can do but I cannot.

It's difficult to love building in ITX. In retrospect I'm pretty glad I didn't get on the waiting list for the FormD1, as the build options are limited (really only one configuration). The Sliger SV590 has been a joy, mostly because I can drill holes and dremel where I want in the sheet metal frame. Though it's tall, it's not quite tall enough for a pump, res, and 3090, so I'll be using a 3080.

So, to that oh-so-important question with ITX builds...where WILL it all go?
