This is my current gaming PC. I called it project Black Wind. It has been a long goal of mine to build a gaming PC of my own design.
Ever since I was in high school I had always liked to build and work on computers. I took a couple of classes that focused on building and repairing PCs. I had quite a talent for it as well as building wired networks and creating patch cables. It was then that I made my mind up to build a PC. However I had one main issue that was holding me back from completing this goal. That obstacle was funds, or lack there of. So the goal, or at this point dream, was put on hold for a while.
When I was in college I tried again to build a PC. Started looking at parts, what is the best on a budget, software, et al. I was very close to being able to purchase the hardware but something also got in my way. major car repairs and total costs for college. My car was not easy on the wallet when it came to repairs or gas money, but I digress.
Fast forward to the year 2018. That was an interesting year for my goal. I graduated college on December of 2017 and about seven months later I lost my job and could not build the PC. However I got a break and got a better job. As soon as I got that job I started the planning process to my gaming PC.
The first thing that I bought was a motherboard and processor. Then came the case, power supply, memory, HDD, a low profile CPU fan, and a graphics card. I finally got the PC of my dreams completed and I got ESO as the first game that I got for the PC.
Performance is the most important part of the build. RGB is good, but it is just decoration as far as I'm concerned. I won't go into too many details about what is in the computer in this section, I'll leave that for the hardware section of this page. The CPU that I chose was an AMD Ryzen 2700X with an ASRock X470 SLI Master motherboard with Aurora sync. However it does not completely work and sticks only on red and pulsing, MOBO only.
I plan on making a custom water cool loop in the case in the future, however I'll be satisfied for now with the PC and its performance. I would also like to thank Jay from the YouTube channel Jayztwocents. His channel and its reviews of all things PC helped me from being in the dark and made it easy to complete my build.
