This is my 10GBase-T custom router & NAS combo. I bought a bunch of dual 10GB NICs for super cheap last year so I've ended up upgrading most of my home now. Going RJ45 made more sense than SFP+ in my usage case because it's backwards compatible, easier to terminate, and I don't have any runs longer than 100m. It may seem weird to use a standard case instead of a server rack but it makes better use of the space I have available and is much quieter than what I could achieve in any rack mount. It also looks nicer too.
It was originally the non-gray(brown-ish) Define 7 but has been properly fixed to be an actual gray. I really don't get Fractal's choice here on the original color. It's like they bought a bunch of old corsair paint that no one wanted for super cheap. Anytime I'm forced to remove a silk screen from tempered glass to reapply in a different color, I'm going to be a bit salty about the labor. The cover over the PCIE cards is 11 pieces of scrap acrylic that I didn't want to go to waste. I'll likely add some detail work to it at some point but I'm satisfied for now.
The graphics card in here is an old HD5450 that I paid at most $5 for 10 years ago. The 10GBASE-T network card is the IBM Intel X540-T2, and the secondary back up card is an HP NC364T.
