"Retro" Build

This is a Core 2 Quad based build that I have wanted to do for a long time, just because I like Core 2s as they're what was current when I was a kid, so I looked at them back in those days like the bee's knees. I got a Core 2 Quad from my local Goodwill for $7, I bought an ASUS P5 for $20, an 8GB kit of Samsung DDR3 @ 1600Mhz for $25, an EVGA 500W PSU for $20, threw in an EVGA GTX 960 I already had, booted from an $18 Silicon Power SSD and stuffed it all into an old eMachines T5048 case that I already has as well, and I love the "retro" aesthetic it possesses while also keeping a sort of "sleeper" status as it can still run most newer games at playable framerates. I made a point of cleaning the inside of the case but leaving the outside pretty much the way it was. I'm quite happy with the look and the performance overall. Emoji
