Overview

From the moment the Asus X Noctua RTX 3070 was announced I knew that I had to get one for myself. Thankfully, a trade opportunity arose in my local area and I became the happy and proud owner of the most beautiful GPU ever made. To commit to the classic Noctua colors, I bought a few A12x25 PWM fans for my case and a pair of A15 PWM fans for my NH-D15 CPU cooler. Now I just need beige and brown sleeved PSU cables...

I built this PC for the Noctua aesthetic, so while I don't necessarily need all of its power, this build takes the trophy as my most powerful PC build to date. Thermal and acoustic performance are superb thanks to Noctua's engineering and an airflow-focused case, but the 5800X3D can definitely run hot if allowed to or if not properly cooled. As expected, the fans are silent most of the time, but when they do spin up to audible levels the sound is a soft, steady whoosh.

The LANCOOL II Mesh is a truly premium case - the build quality, ease of use, features, and aesthetics are all flawless. The version I have is the Performance trim which comes with 3x PWM case fans pre-installed, something rarely seen in the case market, but they have been replaced with the aforementioned Noctua A12 fans. An honorable mention goes to the SeaSonic PX-750 power supply for being rock-solid reliable - it has been through a few builds and has not yet failed me. The CableMod sleeved extension cables are the best on the market and the carbon color is simply beautiful.
