The Vision Host build is a no frills made a home server build. This is a pure hypervisor build running multiple virtual machines that my home network relies on. This server is completely headless and aside from setup via the iGPU it's been managed via remote since it was configured.
I think its important to know that builds take all shapes and sizes to fill their intended needs, and not everything has to be drop dead gorgeous. Personally this is one of my favorite "back to basic" builds.
The OS of the host runs on a 1 TB Hitachi HDD. The 6x3 TB Western Digital Red drives in RAID 10 make up the bulk storage on the server. That array is being run from an Adaptec 6805T RAID controller. The OS drives of the VMs all run on the 2x500 GB Storage Space mirrored Western Digital Blue SATA SSD drives.
