PCIe 16x port of my Maximus XI Formula died, moving my 3080 to the 8x port was a temporary solution as it was suffocating against the PSU shroud. It was time for a small upgrade anyway:
9900k is replaced by a
13900k
Asus Maximus XI Formula is replaced by a
MSI Tomahawk Z790 DDR4, I'll stick (no pun intended) with DDR4 for a while as DDR5 mobo and ram are still excessively expensive for a negligible performance gain with Intel CPUs.
Kraken X62 is replaced by a
EKWB AIO 360 Elite, it was getting old and I'm tired of CAM software.
My
old Phanteks fans are replaced by
3 Arctic P14 PWM PST A-RGB, they look good and perform really well without making tons of noise, I really recommend those fans even as case fans.
Not a huge upgrade overall but current hardware situation with high DDR5 sticks and motherboards prices for negligible performance gain and personnal situation made me buy those parts, I'm really happy with my current build.
My Maximus XI Formula is still working so I'll keep it for a side build, I want to learn how to build custom watercooling so its waterblock with my old 9900k and 1080Ti could be a nice excercice.
Oh and before I forget, I also bought a small GPU holder (not sure how to call that), GPUs getting more and more heavy, I think this is why my PCIe port died even if it was reinforced.
